E&J Test Prep

Patient digital SAT tutoring from two recent test takers.

Eli Marcus and Jai Bansal took the new digital SAT just last year and now tutor as a package duo: patient, clear, and focused on each student's goals. We have helped peers and other students one-on-one, and we know from prep classes what actually helps versus what just feels like filler work.

Why E&J works

A two-tutor team with one shared plan.

Parents should not have to guess whether tutoring is actually clicking. E&J keeps the work specific: what the student missed, why it happened, what pattern to watch for next time, and how to practice without wasting hours.

Eli helps across the whole SAT, with particular strength in Reading and Writing. He focuses on passage strategy, grammar patterns, answer-choice traps, and making the reasoning behind each miss feel clear instead of frustrating.

Jai helps across the whole SAT, with particular strength in Math. He teaches clean setup, fast pattern recognition, and Desmos judgment: when the SAT's built-in graphing calculator saves time and when solving by hand is cleaner.

Modern digital SAT approach

Format, timing, Desmos, and a plan that fits the student.

The digital SAT rewards pattern recognition, timing, and tool choice. We focus on what moves the score for that student instead of assigning filler work.

Desmos is not just a calculator. It can be a tool that can significantly increase score and efficiency.

Desmos is the built-in digital SAT calculator. It can graph relationships, solve equations, test answer choices, and use functions many students never touch. The biggest gains come from knowing what it can do and when using it is actually the smartest move.

How sessions stay personal

  • Start with the student's goals, current score range, and confidence level
  • Find which question types matter most for that student's score goal
  • Review misses until the student can explain the fix back
  • Practice timing choices, educated guessing, and when to move on

Inside a session

1

Start with the student's goal and what currently feels hardest.

2

Trace missed questions back to the pattern behind them.

3

Leave with a short, realistic plan for the next practice block.

Parent FAQ

What changed on the digital SAT?

The SAT is now taken on a computer, is shorter than before, and adjusts in difficulty based on how a student performs. That makes pacing, decision-making, and familiarity with the new format especially important.

Why does Desmos matter?

Desmos is the graphing calculator built directly into the digital SAT. It can graph, solve equations, test answer choices, and use functions that many students never touch. Students improve most when they learn what it can do and when it is actually the best approach.

How is this different from busywork?

We focus on the specific skills and question types that will help each student improve. Every assignment has a clear purpose, rather than adding practice simply to fill time.

How it works

A simple start, then a focused plan.

1

Schedule a free introductory call

Start with a short conversation about goals, timing, and what kind of support would help.

2

Discuss scores and areas for improvement

Review current performance, missed-question patterns, target scores, and test dates.

3

Begin a personalized tutoring plan

Build a focused plan that blends content review, strategy, practice, and feedback.
